I love the request for No laughing on a call out thread. That's classic!

I forgot to mention the venue of our race will be at a local 1/8th mile track. No back pedaling now you didn't stipulate any conditions in your call out.

They are working on a different clutch combo that may allow this in the future....but I'll be in the same position....so no laughing when my SL cuts a 2.60 60 ft at Norwalk.

Service - I have had the best experience of my life with respect to a car build with UGR. Kevin and KC ALWAYS took my calls, ALWAYS took the time to explain things to me and ALWAYS delivered what they said they would. I'm shocked and in disbelief to hear that you never got a call back and to be honest, in speaking to Kevin, the story is a bit different than the one provided here Daniel. I am so impressed with UGR that I plan to build my 2011 SL (when I get it) with UGR. As a matter of fact, I could save LOTS of $ building with Titan but would rather re-live my experience with the UGR team and pay more.

To that end, I've known you for 10+ years Daniel, purchased several cars from you, and will always be your friend. As a matter of fact, I'm looking fwd to buying your 2012 GTR next year! I just wanted to put my 0.02 as I feel it is relevant. We all look forward to results from your build...it should be interesting to compare dyno numbers, 60-130, 100-150, quarter mile and TX Mile results... Talk to you soon.

Peter

Peter, one thing I am to a fault is honest and I have no motive not to be related to these subject matters. It also would have been much more convenient using a local tuner than having to fly Shane in/out for tuning, etc.

Yes I paid more for the build than the same stage kit is advertised on UGR's web site, but I understand upgrades along the way are pretty common with these kits so you'd have to look at the components of the builds to really compare.

My build package price included a lot of value-added services that make a direct comparison tough. For example, Nero sourced the car, had it inspected, sourced / painted / clear bra of LP front bumper, smoking tail lights, painting calipers, customization of engine bay, sourcing wheels, and even transport. So all of this makes true comparisons difficult. Like I said it was worth it to me because I didn't want to be getting phone calls for add-on's every few days.

As far as Kevin having a different version of what happened - well that's not surprising to hear, but there aren't versions of the truth on this. The bottom line is if he would have returned my early calls we'd most likely have done business by now as Titan wasn't even in the TTG business at the time I left the first two messages.

Daniel, again, you are my friend as is Kevin...I trust both of you so it's hard to distinguish the "truth". Regardless, what is the retail cost of the titan full engine build, turbo kit, fuel system, etc...that you are getting? We both know you aren't paying retail but I'm curious how their prices compare to the competition since it was stated that they are more expensive than UGR...

TQ? Hell if I know....I suppose you can extrapolate if you know the gear ratio and rwhp at certain rpm's.

I was replying to Neil, not you. But regardless, even though you clearly want to be a ***** and just race 1/8 mile at a track against a slow 60 foot e-gear, I'll still run you (although I've lost some respect for you Nero barking in Daniel's ear about this type of race). Since Valerie appears to be the better driver, make sure she's belted in so there are no excuses coming from the Van Hoozer camp. Let's set-up for Friday 27th. I'm sure Kevin knows the track. How much are we running for?

Daniel, fyi, Kevin did all that for me as well - actually twice. Most everyone in this business does turn-key projects. That's their job.

And speaking of being honest, there is absolutely no way you are paying more for an equivalent Titan kit/service than UGR. As we all know UGR isn't cheap, and everything Nero has quoted me has been aggressively priced. This isn't a hobby for Nero, but even I would be surprised if he is taking that much advantage of you....especially given the 'relationship' you describe having with Titan....and the clear fact he wants into the Lambo market so badly.....

Jamie,
I was just kidding about the 1/8 mile--sorry if it struck a nerve. Nero has never said anything to me--came up with that on my own.

My TTG won't be done by the 27th, but can bring something else out of the garage as long as you don't care what it is. We will have registration and insurance to show proof of ownership.

27th may work - just tell me where to show up. I'll ask Valerie--knowing her she'll likely be up for it.

We don't need to put $$ on the line as if you lose to my wife that will be worth more than any amount of money. I may bring a 3rd car and have a video camera for this.

Peter, your more then happy to call me to discuss further if your interested in building a Gallard package. We have several packages and levels of parts, including axle upgrades, tilton clutches, LP Nose, engine packages. We often customize each build and taylor them for the specific client.

You didn't strike a nerve. Just seemed like a BS race...but one I'll still do if money is involved. If you're doing a full build, I'll run you anytime/anywhere/any rules. If you're still just doing the bolt-on kit, no reason to waste every one's time.

As for racing another car on the track against my UGR SL, I'm not as interested in that, especially if there is travel involved. I didn't buy this SL to drag race. I'll bring out my Supra for that if you want. I'm more interested in running Nero's fastest Lambo package.

Can you post some pics and a dyno sheet of one of the cars you've done with a built engine?

Red, I don't believe Nero has done any built engine packages yet......

Nero, as you know, i'm selling my 05 TTG to buy a 11 LP570 SL. I will be a potential customer in the near future (if my current G sells). Knowing that, and for everyone's knowledge who is shopping for the best TT solution, why not post the retail price of a full build? I assume this will be on your website right? For me, I will want:

TT Kit capable of 1500 whp on kill and 1000 whp on pump
Fully built engine
Tilton
Axles
MoTeC

Thx,
Peter
