07 Gallardo - Unimpressed :(
I am sure part of what I was feeling was the torque difference. It got from 100 to 150 fairly quick. Also, possibly I was not driving it hard enough, ie... keeping the RPMs up in the 6-7000 range. But also I think it may of been detuned or had a limiter. Because it truly was slower than my SL63, at least in the0-60 range.
Another thing... I was told it was an '07 but a mechanic who looked at the picture above said he thought it looked like an '03.
I am glad to hear the newer ones are improved. If I recall correctly the tranny was changed in '08 and made a big difference.

I sold my Porsche GT750 for a Gallardo. Although the Porsche would rape it in a straightline, it doesn't feel slow to me in anyway nor will I rather have the Porsche.
It is difficult to determine the model year of the car, but obviously pre-LP560, in the picture you have presented as Lamborghini did not do any exterior changes (besides special editions) until the LP560. If you have the VIN number at hand, count to the 10th digit and it will reveal the model year.

Hopefully my picture works.... can anyone identify the year?
