Buying a 2004 Gallardo Help!
I am about to purchase a 2004 Gallardo with 9500 miles on it for 89000.00 I talked to the Lamborghini dealership where the car has been serviced for the past two years & they said the clutch has more than half its life left car has been serviced properly.. Can anybody give me some information about these cars are they reliable do they last the clutch life etc? I have an AM Vantage & a Bentley GTC SS but never have owned a Lamborghini can you guys please help.

+1 A PPI is definitely worth the money. It'll prevent some headaches down the road.

I have had my 04 G for 2 years now. Just took it today for it's 30k mile service. 2years and 10k miles and NO issues other than 2 break light bulbs went out (at separate times). My car is a manual shift. The clutch was replaced in 2006 and lasted 20k miles. I had it replaced last year ($7000 to replace).
The early issued G had some problems. Numbers under 500. But even most those have been fixed by the current owners. Just pay to have an inspection done. They can tell you the clutch wear. If it all checks out and the price is right, then get it and have some fun. I love mine...my favorite car to drive.
Most people I have heard say the clutch will usually last 15-20k miles. But a guy here bought his 04 new and has 40k miles with original clutch (manual).

As many have mentioned, get a thorough PPI done and make sure it is up to date on all servicing. Make sure they take a look at the E-Gear hoses as they used rubber ones on the '04's and they've had some issues compared to the braided ones on later model G's.

Congrats. Now you need to post some pics. I hope you drive the car now and don't let it sit up like the last owners. But now you have a low millage G that you can drive and put on some miles
