Even more amazing is the fact that there are now mid 10 second Lamborghinis which is not far off the Veyron, and the Veyron SS now runs 9.90's....

i agree here it makes no sense why do people do this? I mean common throw a stock gtr against that and see what it does.

Not a used one. I'd rather have a Ferrari 360 over a GTR for the same price: Pinnanfarina styling is hard to beat. At some point you gotta factor beauty as that's what stirs the emotion over speed, handling, technology, etc., in the long run. What do you want to wax, see in your garage, wash, hear, smell, etc.

360 is very dated. Most people get a 360 for the Ferrari looks, not for the performance. Everybody gets the GT-R for the performance, not the looks.
I think the GT-R appeals to a certain group of people. Those who want pure performance domination without sacrificing usability. What they do sacrifice is sophistication, refinement, and European flair.
