Gallardo
Any Merci's to test?
I pay more than for my M5, clean record.
How is that possible?
Thanks all. After waiting and waiting for more than a week and following up 3 times with Progressive, they are still "working on" getting me a quote. I just called Liberty Mutual and got a quote for about $2,300 / year ($2K deductible)
Have been happy with progressive the last few years but I guess I am going to switch all my 3 cars to Liberty now.

If you decide on a manual, I know of a very nice white on black '07 manual for sale. PM me.
Correct. There is no categorical answer to the Gallardo clutch life question. It could be 100 miles or 100,000 miles. If you do mostly highway driving, few hill starts, and not much reversing it will last for a very long time. With a lot of in town or traffic driving, complex parking maneuvers, and a lot of starting and stopping you can still average 10-15k miles if driven properly.
Guys you alll speak of this Clutch wear business, as TUNERS on a TUNING forum, is there no UPGRADE option?? Hasn't Sachs or Titan, or Helix, Clutchmasters made an uprated clutch, that you can just slap in and then not worry, regardless of how many miles or reversing or whatever you do?? If not, then as tuners, shouldn't we push for a company to make one!

We have multiple upgraded clutch upgrade options. All will have much longer life than a stock clutch. But the E-gear cars will always have a shorter life than a manual car. Depending on how you drive the car it is possible to get 50-100k miles from a manual trans G if you drive it carefully. But considering the traction these cars get, the clutch is the weak point. If you drive it hard, the clutch will see a lot of wear. And any E-gear car will have a LOT more wear in direct proportion to the amount of low speed first gear driving it sees (and reverse).
