Thumbs up Update on Insurance

Alos a quick update on my insurance. Finally got a pretty good deal going with Liberty Mutual. $1,100/year with a $2,000 deductible. This is after all the multi-car, low mileage, safe driver and college alumni discount etc. Looking forward to share my ownership experience with everyone and hope to meet up at some local events here in MA.

Congrats on the purchase and finding someone to insure it reasonably...
I just picked up an 07 Gallardo Spyder and am sending it up to my home in Newburyport next week, looking forward to finding some events and cruises this summer as well. Congrats again, beautiful car.

as far as replacement clutches..

when you need a new one ABSOLUTELY replace it with some of the aftermarket clutches, in an F1/EGEAR car get a slotted kevlar set up.. I am currently getting one installed in my 360 F1 and they are promising 80% stronger clutch.. what that means to me is instead of 20-25k miles per clutch (best case) I will get 50k miles per clutch (best case).

to me no clutch should last 10-20k miles only.. if that's all it lasts it's a piece of ****.. I can't remember the company lambo guys tend to use but they are reporting 2x-3x standard clutch life and that is really what these cars should be capable of doing OEM..

Late to the party, creeping on the Gallardo threads and I'm seeing some local folks here. You guys should come to cars and coffee this saturday at Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline. Lots of exotics and car enthusiasts, especially for Boston area. Gets packed at 7am check out yuppieracing.net for more local events.
