I'm biased and voted for the Lambo - but I have to admit the black 458 looks awesome! If you will be driving in rain, I'd put Michelin PSS on the Lambo instead of the Corsas it comes with. I really like the Corsas (great feel and you can slide the car around on them with excellent feedback and control), but I have heard they are a mess in the rain.
I have six speed, but if you go with paddles the E-Gear is likely less smooth than the dual clutch system in the Ferrari, but contrary to what everyone tells me, even in Corsa mode, when I drove a 570-SL with paddles, lifting slightly on shifts made it very smooth when I was trying to just drive around easy, and then the lightening shifts when giving it some bottle were superb.
I sent you a PM reply with some more info. I love the 570, but full disclosure: even though I owned a 430, I've never driven a 458. Damn nice looking car, though, inside and out.

I haven't driven either car but I would want the brutal shifts of the LP-570 in a sports car. I also think it looks much better but yes the Ferrari does have better technology...
People want their exotic to drive silky smooth as if were a 4dr luxury car. But at the end of the day its your coin so do what you prefer.
