Underground Racing invades the Shift Sector CA event. (New world record)
This is just a small tidbit of info!!! I leave the car exactly the way it is from the SHIFT SECTOR RACE. I need to get plates for the car. I roll up to AZ smog station with VP import only in the car and on setting 2. That setting is 1500 whp or whatever. They plug the sniffer in and BAM! The tech looks at me and says it passed! I'm like NO ****ING WAY!! Crazy how well built these STREET CARS ARE!!

Is there any type of high-flow cats on this car? Or is it just a cat-less exhaust?
Just another reason Underground is the best of the best in the aftermarket game.

I have been thinking about one thing. Why is there no audi R8 1R and 2Rs or even stage 3? Its the same engine and trans and for me, the R8 is a better built car comparing to the 05s gallardos. Also how about the new r8 v10 with double clutch, have you guys at UGR looked into that car yet? If you could make the transmission hold for the power that could be very interesting. Watching the vids of high HP GTRs vs UGR gallardos it looks like a GTR has a huge advantage of its fast gearbox. That advantage would be gone if you did the R8 with doubleclutch.

Thats why the transmissions on GTR's break more often than a gallardo trans.
DCT cant hold as much power
We Break **** when we Launch them.. Which TTGs DON'T do or they would break just as often
If we just Roll raced our cars, trans failures would be a minimal issue
But the GTRs seem to be doing pretty good, Although they brake from time to time. But they are very fast when they work. I just think it would be awesome to see what a UGR R8 V10 doubleclutch could do. If they could get the trans to handle the power (like the GTRs) it would most certainly not be slower than existing Gallardos.
We dont have a problem holding the power in GTR trans. Many GTR owners chose not to drag race for that reason alone.

I agree with you but bottom line is that dual clutch transmissions are not as strong as an e-gear or ISR
How do you figure? The "strength" of the transmission has nothing to do with how it functions and everything to do with the individual components. An entire driveline is only as strong as it's weakest link and that doesn't have anything to do with whether or not it is single or dual clutch. The size of the gears, shafts, material used, bearings, surface area and thickness of the clutch or clutches, etc. is what determines the "strength". The dual clutch in the Veyron SS seems to work just fine.

Sorry I didn't fully explain. I am no expert. I assume maybe the clutches are not as strong in a dct

Theres a reason why Lamborghini went with the ISR over a DCT in the aventador
