****Congrats to Gabe, KING of NEW YORK! ****
Congrats again. You guys built Gabe a monster.
Eddie is your car a street car? Has it been stripped out at all? Impressive car man!
Awesome, glad to see a GTR with your power finally race some of this big lambo builds because I have been very curious to see the results. Awesome car!
Those lambos are on a another planet though in all honesty. Looks like most cars jump the lambos pretty good at the start of it because the lambos aren't throwing all their power down. BUT DAMN!!! Look at how much room those lambos make up towards the end of the runs. That is really damn impressive.
I don't think there are any cars out there that could run with a 1r or above on the top end. It just isn't going to happen.
Impressive cars.

no black magic here besides simple lines that show perspective using the lines painted on the ground.

From my extensive research I've gathered that a 1R TTG should run like a car that traps 175-180 in the 1/4 mile, even though it may not actually trap that fast going down the 1320. I've watched plenty of videos, researched how quick the cars racing are, and I think its safe to say a 1R is still pretty deadly from a roll.
I really have not seen many lose on a 100% clean run.

Very few cars I've seen are truly faster than a 1R. Some of the guys over on the GT-R boards claim their cars are faster or whatever, but I've seen solid evidence they are not.

These TTGs trap speeds (i.e. the speed they achieve when crossing the finish line at the end of a 1/4 mile - just to be clear, lol) do not correlate with how well the cars perform from a roll. This is ultimately comes down to the cars not being able to put all the power down in the lower gears (due to tires, mostly) and having a progressive boost system (boost by gear - BBG) which is going to limit the trap speed of the car, by a lot.
If UGR can figure out to eliminate or at least limit BBG by implementing a race tire like these other cars can, it would be so game over for the competition it wouldn't even be funny, lol. But unfortunately that is not the case and hence the TTG is most likely always going to be the car that is playing catch up and passing against another fast car, and passing it does! It is an absolute power house and the fact that these TTG cars can reel in, catch, and ultimately pass another car just shows how much faster (not quicker) they really are.
Moving away from all the controversy in this thread, aside from the texas mile are there any longer runways in the US for racing?
In my opinion the Texas Invitational racing area is too small for cars with this much power, a stage 2R really needs a mile to stretch it's legs and show what it's capable of. You could possibly argue from a safety point of view that they don't need to reach those sorts of speeds on a regular basis, but to determine the faster car surely it's a better option.
In my opinion the russians are doing it right with the Moscow Unlim style racing, with the modification of making it a roll race instead of from a dig. Also those guy have some huge ***** as the barriers are so close, but something similar with added safety aspects would be ideal and would lead to less of these types of arguments by producing a clear winner.

Trust me, I just got done arguing this point forever with a very well known forum member who just didn't seem to get it over on the NAGTROC boards.

The point is the Gallardo does not put down full power until after the 1/8th mile, maybe even longer for some of the super high powered cars. Imagine if they were putting down full, or close to full power in gears 1-3, I am willing to bet they would achieve much more speed by the end of the track. Saying that BBG does not make a difference in the 1/4 trap speed is like saying, take a GTR down the track and only go half throttle the first 3 gears, then go WOT. I'm pretty sure it won't be trapping as fast if it went WOT from the start.
I've seen R versions dominate a few very fast cars, some trapping in the mid 170s, and a few bikes that were pretty quick too, it is easy to tell that from a 50 or 70 roll to 180 or 200, an 1R isn't going to be beat by much.
I like the GTR just as much as the next owner, I'm just not one to be a fanboy just because I own a particular car. Another thing I've noticed is most of the fast GT-R's are shop cars, and driven by shop owners. UR has how many R versions floating around, and a handful of 2R's also. All of which are 100% street cars, that drive like stock, and run full-tilt on street tires, not drag slicks with 15" wheels.
Me personally am not willing to make any sacrifices in drivability, so a high HP GT-R is out of the question for me, the only one I would consider is the USE GTR.

I remember before most of the people in this forum didn't own TTG's yet and UGR came out swinging with a certain Orange car...

The original R package. Now you guys need to step your game up because you know UGR has done it a few times. Then become the destroyer of all cars!

After being obsessed with these cars since I first saw some videos of them in action, no other car is good enough, and everything else is just a "placeholder" or temporary until I can comfortable afford an UGR TTG.
Not to say other cars aren't cool and fun to drive, but something about a Twin-Turbo Lamborghini is just on another level.
