That being said I know Im gonna need a clutch soon and that is something I cant do myself and I hear the bill isnt cheap.

Believe it or not, there is a viewing port on the manual 6 speed to see clutch wear. I think the dealerships don't want anyone to know about it

Clutch is actuated and throw is measured by the Trans. via a test plan. These have adaption values that are learned/taught in for driveability. They are re-learned when clutch is replaced (egear)

You can't see anything through those ports....you can potentionally see correct actuation of the clutch, tell if the slave cylinder is working....(yes, you can see through them, just a pain in my butt using a flashlight to look in there)

Is the E-gear similar to the SMG in BMW's? For years owners were changing clutches too often. Now that the public has access to the software they can now reteach the clutch and get a lot more life out of it. Maybe this will happen in the Lambo world?

Yeah there is new software for the Egear to make the clutch last longer and the shifting gets smoother

I did this recently on my E46. It made a decent improvement. I also flashed the CSL program. This made the transmission a bit more fun when driving hard. Overall I hate that damn SMG. It's so bad it traffic I look like an 11 year old girl learning to drive manual.

Aren't people getting like 20k+ out of the kevlar clutches for 6speeds/egears nowadays? I heard they we're great on some forum posts, I think it's the CNS one, anyone have one? I think ECT is a vendor on here too could be theirs, they seem like great people.

If you have the latest "factory" clutch it will last alot longer than the original clutches that came in the 04/05's. These cars hate to sit, drive it often!

Kevalar clutches are not the best recommended... The best option are the new OEM CLUTCH

What is this software you speak of? Is there a company that you can point to?

Hmmm this is very interesting..I'd love to hear feedback from a Gallardo owner who's had the tune.
