First Purchase 2007 Gallardo vs 2011 V8 Vantage

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but ive been reading a lot of the posts regarding both vehicles. I'm looking to purchase a new car in the next month or two as a replacement daily driver. Fortunately my commute is only 25miles/week or 50 if i feel like being out. So its less than 3k miles a year. My price range is <$120k. Since its my first high end sports car I want to get a used model to get familiar with it before splurging on something else. Thus far i've narrowed down to a White 2011 V8 Vantage N420, black interior, fully loaded, ~4k miles for $99k and an Orange 2007 Gallardo, black interior, fully loaded, ~19k miles for $117.

The white aston is low-key and professional but still sexy and the interior is far superior to the gallardo. However, the gallardo is a show stopper and a better drive from what I've heard. The only major concern being a clutch replacement every 15k miles or so. The Gallardo referenced above has 2.6mm remaining.

For those that have owned either car, or both, what are your thoughts?

yeah pretty sure the Aston is a better daily driver and more "low key" compared to the G. Get that if it's for daily.

I wouldn't daily either of those. Get a proper daily (M3, S4,...ect) then find a slightly less expensive G or Vantage. Works for me...

I spoke too soon. Someone just bought the aston. Out of BMWs i only care for the M6. I havent given much thought into any of the Audi A's or S series.its a possibility. Ive also considered a 2014 C7 Z51 3LT. Personally, i prefer coupes.

I use my '08 Gallardo Spyder as a daily driver but would say its not the most convenient tool for that application.

Look around for a low mileage Bentley Continental. Awesome car. Fun to drive. Exotic (enough). I loved mine.

The only reason u don't drive my Gallardo is bc I will lose my job... ;-) Gallardos are bulletproof. I personally don't like Aston Martin...
