Yep... Taylor broke the record and then the 2nd day after a day of practice with his new ride Stacey went 224.99 in his UGR 2R car not on kill mode.

 

Any idea the power level of this car when it went 225?

I know the white LP570 was allegedly a 2R when it went 217mph if I recall correctly. 8mph is a pretty large difference to pickup.

 

Yeah not sure. The 217 was done on a very hot day too. Would be 220 plus in better conditions is my guess.

 

Yeah that is true. If I remember right, most 1R's were doing like 208+mph that day.

I think the stage 3's were running right around 200.

when was DP's 220 done? i assume not the same day as the 224.9, b/c they weren't allowed to run on subsequent days w/o a roll cage, right?

 

I think he tried to make a pass on Sunday (when UGR went 224.99) but the car broke a diff. Only quoting what the shift sector video said.


Yeah I think he did 220 Saturday and was "kicked out" for the day.


I think the cage rule is silly. Have to have a cage to go 200 plus. LOL what is the difference between 190 and 205 if you flip?!?!?!


I think the tx2k roll on event will be awesome. We will see all the powerful cars line up... No excuses... Everyone races what they bring, and get a long hopefully.

 

shift s3ctor was a 2 day event, right? so was that DP 220 done on the "hot" day? either way, sick cars all around. roll cage or no roll cage, I'm not sure I would have the stones to run a 200+ "drag" race.

 

I am not really sure. It was a 2 day event but I was not there. Both cars are fast... we all know that.


Lets just get them lined up to race each other lol.

 

I was out of gear at 217, basically hitting the rev limiter. I liked having the shorter gears for the roll racing!

 

Gotcha, does your car have stock gearing? I love how it shifts so fast!

 

No it has a custom set, stock gearing is only good to 201 I think on the LP.

 

Stacy was pushing over 1800whp and his car is manual too

 

Car wasn't on kill, so no real idea of what it was making exactly.
