Texas Invitational Airfield Update
Texas Invitational Airfield Update
In preparation for TI, we visited Caddo Mills to see how the recent additions to the airfield have come along. As part of the updates to the facility, the city will be painting new numbers on the runway, and preparation for this is already under way:

All of the expansion joints in the racing area have also been sealed:

As a result of the new painted numbers, we will no longer be allowed to do burnouts in the previous location. TSS made the decision to add a high quality concrete extension to the end of the runway, so that racers would still be able to heat their tires up before racing. The extension gives plenty of room for racers, as seen in photos posted below.

A few local forum members came out to check out the updates, and some photos are posted below. The April Texas Invitational is looking to be the best one yet, with all the updates at the airfield, and several highly anticipated races from veteran TI participants, and new ones looking to make a name for themselves. See you guys in April!

There are always new customers at every event, nothing new. Maybe a couple extra tuners that have not done TI before. I have 2-4 new customers going.
