He started to go sideways, and instead of backing off throttle and turning a bit to the right he hit the brakes.
One day at a drivers ed class would probably have saved him. If you are like me, I went into the dirt a time or two. The GT2 was tricky, but my M3 became a pretty sweet drift car. It loved it in the dirt.
My instructor, not so much.

At that point I could have called out the whole video with the over zealous driver trying way to hard, that was about to floor it... And not over correct his imminent mistake.
