paint question - Verde Ithaca

I am looking at getting an 05-06 manual gallardo in the next year or so and it is impossible to find a manual verde ithaca for even close to my budget (under $95k). I assume someone out there has painted one of these, how much would it cost to paint a black or silver one verde ithaca?

it all depends on how good of a paint job you want?Like factory? Cant tell it was a color change when you look closely?Which would mean all glass out car stripped to a shell, replace all factory decals, plaques, weatherstripping if necessary.A complete disassembly, then repaint and full color sand to a show polish.I would say to have it done by a reputable shop it would be 30k+.Remember a good job on the color change will most likely devalue the car.A bad repaint will heavily devalue it.

If I recall, there were a couple of Diablos that were painted VI, but I believe the paint cost was around $20k. I believe VI is a three-stage pearl, so it isn't a cheap paint job. I would consider buying a black Gallardo (which should be an inexpensive color to find) and then getting it wrapped in VI (the black should help with unwrapped door jambs, etc.).

That said, there's a manual '05 VI Gallardo on AutoTrader right now. I have no affiliation, but I saw it yesterday when I was looking at Gallardos.

sounds like I will be just sitting tight and upping my budget for a green 05. The one on autotrader is perfect honestly, just put the stock wheels back on and be done, but timing is not right as I need to unload my Viper and a few other rigs first to make room. There will be others though
