Gallardo SE or upcoming 997TTS cab?

Hi guys!

I'm 2nd on the list for the upcoming 997TTS cab but after paying a visit to the local Lambo dealer in Belgium I'm starting to have second thoughts.

I know that for acceleration and topspeed the new 997TTS will most probably set a new standard carrying the new VTG and stuff. The thing is that I don't really like what I have seen so far on the spyshots

It's getting kind of a dilema, the official pictures of the 997TT wil appear between end November and end December (if my source is correct). But by that time I might have lost all possibility to get a G SE as I don't think there are still many for sale.
The MY06 will have the same power output but it's still nice to have some sort of limited version I had high hopes for the G Spyder but I think it messes up the line of the car (much more than with an F430 or any Porsche 996/997). On top of that I really hate the fact that it can not be bought with the transparent engine bonnet (and I don't think it ever will).

I haven't driven a G yet but when it comes to acceleration I suppose it will be close to my stage II Sportec 996TT cab (500HP)?
Does anybody know how long it takes a Gallardo (SE) to do the quarter mile?
I did take place behind the wheel of a G SE and it seemed that I was just a little bit too tall (I'm 1.89m which is 6 foot 2 I believe?).
Is this correct or did I/the salesperson mess up with the seat settings? Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Any other help that could be useful to make a decision is also very much appreciated btw!

The speed in the Gallardo is very deceptive.Where the TT explodes as soon as boost hit .8 The G is much smoother.I also think it handles far better than anything I have ever driven.
I'm 6' and there is a solid 3" of headroom left.I'd personally get the SE.There will be lots of TT's available if history is any indicator.
I traded my TT in on the Gallardo, knowing that when I add some garage space replacing it won't be a problem.

Get the SE. EVERYBOBY has a 911 TT. Be different, you won't regret it.

In an ideal world that would be the case ... not that I'm complaining tho! I still consider myself extremely lucky facing such a luxury problem.

Just picked up the Gallardo and drove it from California to Seattle today. Clearly a well tuned Turbo is faster in a freeway drag race. But I think we spend far too much time here concentrating on such aspects...and forget about the overall balance of the handling. It is in these areas that the Gallardo really shines...as well as aesthetics of course. I really like the car and think I would probably keep the Gallardo (at this point in time) if I was going to choose between them.

Cheers,
