How did the driver drive the car with that tire in the seat, clearly that is to blame for the accident. I hope he is ok.

looks like the rear tire was put into the driver seat to haul it out. not sure how safe that is if it is put on a flat bed.

hope the driver made it. it looks pretty bad to have destroyed the axles. cockpit looks incredible intact. amazing for an open car.

I think the tire got there because of the leprechaun conspiaracy ... you know, the pot of gold that pirates are after, hence the presence of the tree. That the roadster hit. Interesting to note the tree was actually burning, so this where Chris Mangle's Flame Surfacing design comes from. The absence of canadian beavers (that would have chopped down a 7 series tree) indicates a 5 series.
Quite simple, after all.

 

the wheel on the front of the car is from a gallardo. I was under the impression that gallardo wheels don't fit.
