First, the front driveshaft, differential, and torque tube were removed. Since the AWD system was mechanical, the car has no idea that anything is missing. Even the TCS (traction control) works perfectly which is great for really bad weather since my car is a daily driver. This resulted in a weight savings of 285 lbs. according to the UPS scale at the dealership and a gain of approximately 60HP (exact figures to come).
The Murcis steering in AWD fitment was always very sluggish and ultra heavy at slow speeds. Now the steering is razor-sharp, and very easy at slow speeds (understandably so). The car turns is on a dime and can be flicked from side to side with the ease of a 360 or 430, instead of feeling like a freight train on railroad tracks. I have go into a corner, get it sideways, and then throttle modulate it all the way through with great ease.
When I think of Lamborghini, I think of a very fast, very lightweight race car. Well, the Murci was fast, but NOT light (3990 LBS!). Now, I am fast approaching what it should have always been.
Next, a custom header back exhaust is being put in which will account for a gain of around 40 RWHP as well as a weight savings of around 110LBS. over stock. To control this, a new sintered clutch is being put on for the Lambo stock clutch is VERY VERY weak! Also, a set of ultra-light CCW wheels, 19 LBS. PER WHEEL lighter than STOCK and 30 LBS. lighter PER WHEEL than my stupid "SHOW" wheels will make a monumental difference in acceleration, braking, and handling.
After that, the '05 Murci front brake upgrade will go on (no need to go bigger since I am shaving the car of 700 LBS. of weight).
A new Ohlens lightweight suspension is going on that will be much stiffer for that is one thing that surprised me. In RWD fitment, the Murci lifts the front end like a powerboat out of water under hard acceleration; it's actually quite funny. The new suspension along with electric front-end lift instead of a hydraulic one will save a total of 75 LBS.
On the interior, Carbon Fibre race seats will replace my factory ones and titanium fasteners will replace all of the steel ones resulting in almost 100 LBS. of weight loss.
Lastly, there will be some gearing changes, and a lightweight sound system replacing the MDF constructed one I currently have.
Along with a few minor things I have not mentioned (but will later) I will have the car down to between 3200 and 3300 lbs. and around 600-625 RWHP. A power-to -weight ratio that the CGT and Enzo can only dream of (in reality, not just manufacturer claims). In fact, up until 160 MPH, not even a Veyron could pull on it.
^^^^^That is what a Murci is SUPPOSED TO BE !!!

Damn that sounds like a really cool project. Is the stock Murci really so restricted that a custom headers back exhaust can free up 40hp

? I don't know much about the Murci exhaust but that sounds like a lot for any car from just exhaust. Maybe the next step in this extreme diet will be to swap stock metal body panels for Carbon Fibre ones, off say, an RGT?

I have no doubt that 500-510rwhp is achievable on the Murci. Alex's car with just full exhaust dynoed I believe 466AWD hp, or approximately 500rwhp. That is where I stop agreeing with you.
All of your weight figures are overblown, and even though it is possible to get 625rwhp N/A you will spend an arm and a leg. That remaining 125rwhp will be extremely difficult to achieve.
Why havent you posted pics of your new cars? Quite a change youve gone through since asking if you could buy a gallardo with 30k down for $1,000 a month.

Also, I only asked about the 30k down and $1,000/mo. for the Gallardo, not because that was all I could afford, but because that was the "rainy-day" money I had at the time.
I agree that getting the extra 125 RWHP is difficult, and, for someone who was not fortunate enough to have my connections in this project, quite expensive. I happen to be very fortunate, however, in that the people I have working on it are doing it more for the fun of the project than to make money. For this reason, I will not be spending even half of what it will take someone else to do to acheive my goals. I may not have explained that clearly enough before.

Not just headers. Headers AND Header-back exhaust.

I only have the M3 and Black Murci with me here in Pittsburgh. It has been the business that has kept me here for some time.
