LP vs Murci Question...
LP vs Murci Question...
LP640 vs. Murci coupe driving impressions. Is there a significant difference in drivability? I understand there is a 8500RPM redline with the LP, and would imagine more torque in straightline, but how is the overall driving and balance? I drove Shank's Roadster recently, and it appears heavy (Boat like) and not as nimble as the Gallardo. I do not consider it that pleasurable in sheer driving, however the sick *** looks outweight that. WHo here has driven both and can share their experience / opinion on the LP vs. Murci.
Thanks, Pete

Cant say anything about the Murci, but have driven both the Gallardo and my cousins LP640. I did not get to push my cousin LP640, but my intial driving impression was that I was quite surprized on how nimble the car was compared to the Gallardo. Didn't feel as big and heavy as the car looks. Felt like you can throw the car around.
OK...I have not driven even one...but the most of the people in the factory told me that the driveability is ways better now and it's more suitable for fun...in the meaning that you don't need to reach incredible high speeds to have fun. Imagine a Murcièlago which has 60 hp more and drives more like a Gallardo.
I drove the LP640 this past weekend for the first time, and was more impressed with it than I thought I would be. The car is a lot faster than the old Murci, very noticeable. The steering feel is much improved and the car feels more nimble. The egear system also felt much improved, much smoother. The exhaust sound is a lot more aggressive as well. After driving it I was dying to have it, and I was in the middle of negotiating a deal when the car was bought right out from under me. In then end I'm glad I didn't buy it on impulse as the 370k price tag would have hurt in the morning!
the LP is faster, I own a regular Murci and have driven it about 12K miles so I'm pretty familiar with them, I went for a test drive in a LP, and here is my review:
the LP is more comfortable, considerably faster, and looks more cutting edge.
Is it worth the extra $$$ if you have it they yes I would get it with the cermic brakes etc that isnt on a regular Murci, the stiching in the seats etc.
I might upgrade its 50/50 for now, i am 100% on a Enzo for a daily driver. if biz is good i'm gonna grab one, overall its a gret car.
