Drove the car and came away feeling that it was very nice but did not feel that "Gotta have it" sensation that i was hoping for? I'll let my wife drive it soon and go from there but i'm pretty sure she's going to be blah about pretty much anything(except her beloved bentley gt)
Just wondering if others have come away with the same feeling before or is pretty much everyone gaa-gaa for the Gallardo? BTW, i'm not exceedingly wealthy so exotics are not an everyday thing for me. This would be a pretty substantial auto purchase. I got back in the 996tt and felt more satisfied with it(would not be trading anything in for the G)

I totally agree though!
i personally would not modify a stock car for purely cosmetic reasons. i could see adding something that may be a factory option that was not delivered with the car but i think it completely ruins the car to add scissor doors for a car that does not have that option. admittedly i am probably an extremist but i tend to prefer rather stock cars, save remapping the ecu or changing out the exhaust

The Murci is an incredible car but it is so impractical for me. The Murci is significantly wider than the G and would be an adventure just getting in and out of the garage. In addition, some of the back roads I drive on would be very tight for the car. With regard to the Diablo, the car just felt too old. I test drove one and wasn't impressed with the drive. However, I still love the way that the car looks.
With the G, I got the benefit of having a car with essentially the same performance that I would have gotten from the Murci, with much more practicality.

Robert - How does a Murci (pre LP) compare to a Gallardo (06+) in strait line perfomance and handling? Does the Murci simply perform better, or is the experience more exciting (GT2 style animal?)?
I like the Murci more, but it *seems* like the Gallardo would be more fun to drive based on size and weight. Maybe someday I'll find out and be able to speak with experience.

The difference is that when you get to the Lodge in the Gallardo, you're an instant celebrity. Everyone wants to buy you a drink or invite you to their party. And the women will literally fight for the ride. And it makes absolutely no difference how well you ski, you WILL get laid like James Bond.
