Getting Insurance on a Gallardo

I recently called my ins co (Travelers) and they said they would not write a policy on a G because of the high value. Who are you guys using and what approximate annual cost should I expect.

Thanks,
Pete

I use Geico on my G along with homeowners, umbrella and 4 other cars. The G alone is about $3K/year for me for the highest coverages they offer with lowest deductibles.

yes I actually write policies through them in NY, they are very good. your license must be clean, and if you have kids you will have to exclude them 100%, and you will only have 5000 miles per year.

I did a quick quote for my 03 Carrera with these guys and it turns out that I am better off with State Farm than with the Classic people. Never saw that coming.

Your friend puts info into state farms internet system and they give her the price, there is nothing really an agent can do to make ones premium less aside from committing fraud by submitting wrong info

true, just meant she took her time to explain all the diff coverages, details and found the best options for how I was going to be driving my car. Similar to the above post about only paying 1600 for the G by driving less than 7000 mi a year.

Regardless it was waaay lower than AAA.
