Once upon a time ago (last week) at the Lamborghini factory...
Hey guys,
I was fortunate enough to spend 8 days in Italy about a week ago, during which time I visited the factories of Ferrari, Pagani, Ducati, and of course Lamborghini in addition to the many historical and picturesque sights Italy has to offer. If anyone would like any of my pictures in high-res just let me know, and if I can motivate myself to spend time going through my pictures from the other factories, I'll post them later in the week.
Enjoy,
Jeremy

Hey...what's that?

Oh, it's the REMOTE CONTROL BOX for the car

The entrance to the factory...and the exit of the cameras
Naturally, I was not allowed (nor was there any opportunity) to take pictures of the actual production floor, however I did get you guys the hookup. The below images of the production floor were taken by klutch_r from BCSportBikes about a year ago through a window visible on the second floor of the museum…but as you might have guessed, Lamborghini has since eliminated the window (by hanging a picture in front of it). Big thanks to klutch_r for the consentual use of his pics.

As you can see (kind of) there are two production lines, one for the Gallardo which arrives mostly in packages from Audi in Germany (including the pre-painted body and pre-assembled engine) and is simply assembled in Italy (hence the cheaper price) and the other for the Murcielago which has some outside suppliers, but all are located within a stone's throw of the factory. The murcielago line is shown above.

Above is the Gallardo line, with the protective cover still on the roof from shipping.
