Gallardo's first mods!!!

Hey guys!

Well... it's been almost one month with the G and I'm ready to modify it to my own taste! And since I'm new to the brand I'm looking for some answers.

As far as the car I'm totally in love with it! I couldn't be any happier!

Here's the list of mods that I want to do. If you could help me out with dealers and best ways to do things I'd really appreciate it!

1) Wheels: I was looking for SDS. Not sure if INVIDIA or AVARITIA still...
2) Exhaust: Tubi with Larini test pipes. WILL I GET ANY CEL?
3) ECU: Who is doing a good reflash for the ECU, since I will be running full decated system and don't want to get any CEL issues
4) Intake: What's the best intake out there?
5) Calipers: I have silver calipers and I'd like to paint them RED... What's the best way to do this, I want OEM LOOK with Lamborghini logo.
6) Side Lamborghini Emblems... Are they a decal or do they come as an optional? Any place to get them?
7) Blacking out tail lights: Best way to do it? Do they sell them blacked out already, or have to paint them or put that cheap film on them? Opinions please!!!
8) Side markers: Also want to black them out...

Any other recomendations or options will be much preciated!!!

Federico.

PS: I'm selling my Callisto wheels with Pzeros (almost brand new, 1500 miles) $5,000

EDIT: By the way... the car is located in Miami.

Well, I can help you with blacking out the tails and side markers. You can take them to a nice paint shop and they can black them out for you and it should come out looking great. That way you can avoid having to use that film ****.

Here are some pictures... I'll get new ones as soon as I get to Miami next month.

And just to see how it looks... could someone that handles photoshop be so nice to do this on the last picture:

lower it, paint wheels in gunmetal and all rear grills in the same gunmetal? I just want to see how it would look... not sure, but just to test!!!

THANKS GUYS!

Answers to some of your Qs
2) I had a custom exhaust with Craghraphic test pipes and no CEL issues
3) Not too many tuners do Lambo ECUs as they are not Bosch. Hamann does one I think but I do not see the point of voiding warranty on a 200K+ USD car. Besides, on NA engines, gains are minimal
4) I did not do intake but options are: Cargraphic/EDO, GruppeM and I think Tuni may have one
6) Side decals are sticker, not a factory option like on Ferrari...Looks tacky IMO if you do it
7) Most shops can balck out tail lights...What they do is put a lyer of dark clearcoat on 'em. Had it don on my G (pic upload not working...)

P.S. I would not change the color of the rear grills if you are blacking out the tail lights...

Also, have you seen this exhaust? SICK IMO (though not sure it works with spider)... http://www.cargraphic.com/index.php?...,2894/&start=3

i have a new tubi exhaust and lanari test pipes as well as sport cats. i also have the carbon kevlar Gruppe m intake.
there is no ecu that gains power. you can however bore the throttle bodies for 20hp. any shop can lower your car its a typical coilover. i would also black ceramic coat your exhaust tips.

Fabspeed has a new intake as well - I think it's a BMC filter with a CF box. Not positive, though.

The list sounds great. What color wheels - you said gunmetal? If it's a vote, I'll throw one in for black/polished to somewhat match your interior.
I'd also vote to ignore the side shields, painting the calipers red, and painting the rear grills gunmetal.

But everything else might possibly make your G the sweetest spyder I've seen!!!

Thanks for the replies guys!!!

Now it's the owner's hardest time ever... "what to do..." haha...

I guess I'll put the INVIDIA in 20" in black center with diamond polished lip, lower it... have the black out with dar clear coat, exhaust with ceramic coat and some other things next to that...

Federico,

Here is my 5 minute lunch break job.

I hope it gives you some sorta idea of what you are looking for. I was unsure of your tone of red you wanted on the calipers and I did the grilles but it looked horrid with everything else, I'd reccomend that you keep them factory. If you really want to see it I can change it back for you.

After:

Hope this helps.

Email me and when you're in Miami, I'll let you put the different finishes on the car so you can be completely happy with the choice.
