Just picked up my LP640 ... BUT !!!!
after a couple miles slowly pulling up to my gate the car starts to slightly shake or sputter then calms ... Open my gate pull into my neighbor hood, slow down to pre-navigate my drive in my head ( first time ) car shuts off ... turn her on again she sputters and shuts off ... check engine light comes on ... the glass in the back is scorching hot ... The whole thing just seems WAY too hot ...

What do I do? ... 2007 with 500 miles ... Do I just return it and search for an 08? or change brands ... Not a pleasant first drive

You may try to have the dealer find out whats up before making the decision on dumping it for the new model year.

That totally sucks! You paid huge bucks for that car and this is how it treats you! Porsche Gods are angry you didn't buy a Carrera GT!

I am sure it will be taken care of and hope it is something minor. What color did you get? Any pics?

I'm a bit calmer now ... I let the car cool off and allowed the sun to go down ... I had a friend of mine in a car with his lights on behind me watch me back the car in my driveway ... He noticed that out of the two intercoolers (one left corner, one right) in the back that one of the fans wasn't on and wouldn't come on ... So that hopefully is the problem because it narrows it down to a simple fan or fuse.
