So I need some Gallardo help!!!
yawn... this site has lots of people who've made their own money - we're not impressed.
it's great that you have such a strong opinion on a car you've never seen nor driven. what stocks do you recommend right now given your remarkable ability to predict the future?

Well my ability to predict the future is based on analyzing the past.
Toyota can't build a competitive F1 car. They've only been at 4 or 5 years with a budget of $400m plus a year. Their IRL program failed and NEXTEL program sucks.
In Toyota's whole history the only somewhat decent sports cars I can think of are the last generation Supra and the old Celicia All Trac. Both cars had better, far more charismatic competitors. Just to name a few - 300 ZX TT, RX7, Audi Coupe Quattro, Lancia Delta Intergale.
Supercars are not within the Lexus DNA. It's not the natural extension of the product line/brand image. What it will be is a front engined very fast/heavy luxury coupe.....kinda like a watered down Japanese AMG CL/Cadillac XLR V Series. Shoot me if they offer a manual transmission. Fast, wooly, uninspired and not totally committed. I read in Automobile today that Lexus doesn't consider the RS4, M3 and upcoming AMG C Class competitors of that hopped up V8 400hp IS 500 they are bringing to market shortly......I think that says it all.
As for the stocks
Long term: APPLE, GOOGLE AND RMKR.
Short term: Long and short sell Countrywide, if you have the *****. Lots of movement/volume as the subprime debacle unfolds.

kinnsella,
I see your enthusiasm and hard headedness throughout this entire debate. Perhaps I will stick with the LF-A. BUT, for you to say that I can not tell the difference between a Supercar and a Lexus is a tad off. Considering that I am considered a professional race car driver, have driven MORE super cars than you could ever DREAM of at the young age of 23, and could care less what Toyota's racing department lacks. Am I a stuck up ******* with "Daddys" money? No. Am I fortunate? Yes. I am sorry that ticks a nerve in your body.
I believe that Lexus will build a superior and excellent car in the LF-A. They have been developing this car for quite some time, and until I see the final product, I will not make a decision. I personally believe that Lexus builds an AMAZING product, and I would be proud to drive the first of it's kind, Lexus Supercar.
LABrit and Turbo 187, Thank you guys for the support. Some people are too quick to judge a book by it's cover, such as this genius.

Hardheadedness.....Lexus sucks, Lamborghini doesn't. I think I am stating the obvious.
'Book by its cover' I might beg to differ based on your choice of Avatar. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Did you bid on 50's Murci? You might want to reconsider that.......guns aren't toys.
Honestly, I think for the Lexus base a supercar is a complete disconnect. They want a cheaper Mercedes. Competent mass market transportation with no soul. It's the sweet part of the market, no doubt. Which by definition means it will not be a super car. Lexus knows this and that's what they will build.
At 23, I was still driving a Ford Festiva, you're a lucky guy, I hope you use your inherited wealth to do more than race cars, buy guns and supercars with. Give back, reinvest in your community, your father's company and it's loyal employees: Earn their respect and I promise you that it will be more fulfilling and satisfying than any L-FA or Gallardo......
Make your mark.....don't walk in somebody else's footsteps.

nice edited post.
the picture up top is an inside joke with a airsoft gun. Could SERIOUSLY hurt someone. I dont own any guns, and dont plan on blowing money on them.
I have been around the dealership since I was in my mothers stomach, to now. Respect? I have their respect. I don't need to gain it. I know more at 23 about the car business, than 90% of dealers in the country. I am fortunate to have had the best teacher in the world.
Racing is just a perk. It is something I did with my father, and grew up around. I will continue to do it. If you ever need someone to teach you how to drive that G of yours, give me a holler.
Reinvest in my community? If you only knew. I won't even go there because its not worth my time.
It's funny, you are the only person in the past 4 or so years on this site to have some sort of haterade against me. You are obviously a new-b, don't know me or my personality, so it's not worth my time to e-argue with you. So flame on, because I am confident in knowing that everyone else on this site knows the kind of person I am, except you.

No kidding...chill pill, you two?
Look, I'm glad that Kinnsella has made his own way up, worked hard and reaped his rewards. It's also good that Renntech appreciates the wealth he grew up in...it could've been a lot worse.
Anyways, time to go back to on topic now?
