Lexus CT 200h Hybrid
I'm going to be driving 80 miles so I need something with good gas mileage and some what sporty look.
wheelrz, I was looking at a white F yesterday, what else can you tell me about this car? did you look at other brads? does it have enough power for the daily driving?

My wife and I just had a baby. We sit in DC traffic so we wanted something that was good on gas, sporty, and a wagon. We stumbled on the CT200h. We looked at the audi wagon, acura, bmw and benz. For the money this was the best option for us. 87 gas, not 93 like the others which saves more money. Has enough get up for a daily driver. This was money well spent for a daily driver.
Now the only complaints are no power seat for passenger and no memory seat. If I were to buy another hybrid, this would be it.

No hybrids or electrics of any type in my garage. There is no substitute for a new diesel engined car. Check out the VW Jetta TDI / Golf TDI / Passat TID - Audi A3 TDI - the new GM Cruze Diesel and others. Count several other manufacturers are getting into the USA Diesel game now VW is handing them their a$$ses on a silver platter with the solid diesel car sales they enjoy without almost any competition and at ZERO discount generally, in the US.
I did, the warranty on them is 7 years or 100,000 miles, life expectancy is 15 years, on a side note I have found that the Prius batteries are the same and there seems to be a second hand market for them developing.
Like anything else this is completely new to me and I'm trusting this technology, the one thing that really is giving me piece of mind is that Prius has been around for 10 years so that's a lot of time for R&D so i'd like to think that they have a much better battery today.

I'd suggest going with the fuel efficient hatch back that's actually enjoyable to drive. The 200H is an underwhelming turd.
2012 Audi A3 TDi S-line. 285ft/lbs of torque with a software re-map and you'll usually get about 30-50 miles extra on each tank with that. I average about 32 with it city, and 41-44 on the highway.

What I have noticed is that there's a lot of complains about this CT200 cars, from no cup holders in the rear, to small sun visors to the lack of power, during my research I needed an specific vehicle, something for my wife to drive 80 miles a day with good gas mileage and somewhat sport looks, out of all of them the CT200 with all the gizmos, things like rear view camera, navigation system, individual a/c and all the other goodies that the F brings was hands down the best option for us, everyone talks about the Audi but in reality I was not looking for a wagon look alike. We will see with time how this new technology works.
