Man I love the Esprit's! I've heard the 4cly Turbo Intercooled models are actually a pretty bulletproof car all around, anyone have experience with these?

 

Nothing is bulletproof. However, with all things being relative, it's interesting that so many more V8's are for sale than Turbo 4's.

 

Yah I know what you mean. That is kind of what I was getting at, I've heard the V8 twin turbo ones can be quite unreliable engine wise, but the 4cly turbo ones can actually last a long time.

 

I second that, and have heard it many times.

Since it's a pic thread, I thought I'd share more. This isn't my car but showed up at the homestead to talk Lotus Esprit talk.

 

As you can tell, I am very late to the photos pages, but at least I finally arrived. I took dleivery of this 2005 Sport/Touring/Hardtop/Starshield a few months after they begin to arrive at dealers showrooms. I added the titanium exhaust and euro style grills about a year later. It sounded amazing! I removed the cheap decals from the back the day I got it and I preferred the clean look. The problem that resulted is no one had any idea what it was and I got even more inquiries than I would have had I left the decals in place.

I had it for about 1 1/2 years. It made for a terrible daily driver in TX with all of the SUV's, but one one of the most fun cars I have ever driven at the track.

Nice, especially since it doesn't have black wheels. Great colour and a really good wheel choice.

A couple I shot a few days ago. The first one is an interesting camparison of scale, and a Focus isn't exactly a large car....
