Porsche Macan Turbochargers/Gear Ratios
Porsche Macan Turbochargers/Gear Ratios
I know that new technical information is still trickling out of Porsche very slowly at this point but has anyone seen any information posted anywhere regarding the manufacturer of the turbochargers on the Macan S or Turbo? What about the gear ratios/final drive is use with each in the 7 speed PDK?
Thanks,
Jeff

Porsche Macan Turbo Technical Specs
After a bit of searching everywhere for actual technical information I found out the attached document was released today by Porsche Press Services.
Kent,
I am sure you know me well enough by now that you realize I am already in the process of putting a Porsche Macan Turbo gear ratio comparison together!
Unfortunately I am still looking for any details on the manufacturer of the turbochargers though........

Great stuff, thanks for posting.
Interesting that the S engine makes more power per cc than the Turbo.
Also, I'm a bit surprised how high the tow rating is. I've got a boat that with trailer that weighs very close to that (if you include fuel and gear.) And I only tow it alternately 15 miles one year and about 250 miles the next. I'd be comfortable doing the 15 miles with this. For the 250 mile year, given it's over an 11,000' pass, not so much.
