Sports Exhaust
Another, more recent example, is the Sport tailpipes for the 991 Turbo S models. That comes available in march next year too. All orders placed at this moment can't add this option.
The Panamera is just a mid-life facelift and not a new generation of the model...

One possible explanation is if there were supply issues or even redesign considerations for PSE late in the project which prevent it being available at this time. Would you delay the launch of the car due to this? Absolutely not.
If you can't get PSE on your early build, don't fret, I'm sure a retrofit will be available.

I know, but since there is nothing mentioned about the sports exhaust, I'm very curious if there will be a sportsexhaust at all...
That said, I think the Macan doesn't sound too bad for a turbocharged engine. It sounds IMO better than the 991 Turbo.

I believe there is not going to be a sports exhaust system for the turbocharged gasoline engines in the Macan (Porsche would have mentioned something by now if it was going to be offered for MY2015) - just as there is no PSE for the 911 Turbo or the Cayenne Turbo models, although PSE is an option for the other 911 Carrera and Cayman/Boxster models. On the other hand, Panamera Turbo has PSE as an option. So, who knows where the Macan stands in Porsche's strategy!
Personally, I have no desire for PSE in the Macan. To me, it will sound great the way it is without the sport exhaust. Having driven the new 911 with PSE, I prefer the original authentic growl of the boxer six without need for any amplification or rerouting into the cabin, and so usually I turn off the PSE. But I understand why others would like to have it.
I'm of the same mind. The exhaust noise already sounds great in the videos we've seen (which are presumably without PSE) and I'm not all that concerned with having the absolute most exciting sounds coming from a crossover. I'm already unsure about the need for Sport Chrono on this thing, but I'd rather have it than regret not having it. That feature is more functional than having extra noises coming from the exhaust, IMO.
