Unless he can point to a problem, you should definitely shop this around, along with your other cars and home. That gets their attention.

I re-visited my agency today and was happy to learn that the cost of insuring an S (with a value around $68k) is about $400/year LESS than my current 06 911 cabriolet. A Turbo with a value around $78k would be about the same as my cab.

I spoke to my agent today, she gave me a better rate than what I rec'd over the wknd, but still much too high imo. As such and as I told her I would (she said there was nothing she could do 
), I shopped our multiple policies and landed at less than $900/yr for the Macan Turbo with double the coverage! 
It's amazing to me the disparity between the 2 companies, both being A+ insurance carriers. Although I learned today that I get a special discount because of my employer, we're talking $900 vs $2300 annually.
I guess some good does come out of this emotional spending on the Macan- cheaper insurance so I can pay for something else I really want.
