To be honest I would love to have a diesel instead of this gas powered version, my wife's Cayenne diesel is awesome, lots of torque and great fuel economy to boot.

Does anyone believe Porsche is departing to far from its historical target market with a 4 cylinder SUV? I own a Cayenne Turbo and view it as the best SUV I have ever owned only made better with the Porsche name tag. I am having a difficult time accepting a Macan 4 regardless of the performance. Is this a signal of things to come? Does it affect the exclusivity normally associated with the Porsche name?

 

Take note that that's exactly the same thing that was said when the Cayenne was first rolled out.....

 

Yeap...a lot of people frowned because Porsche was going mainstream. As long as Porsche makes quality products, I got 0 complaints.

 

To be completely honest they said that when the Boxster first came out, and the 911/912 after the 356. It just happens.

 

I think Porsche should only make sports car. The are devaluing the brand..... It will be like BMW in the next 10 years... Everyone will have one. They are owned by VW so they should be good in terms of profits.... Ferrari would never do this.

 

Cayennes saved the company.
