New Cayenne S has same engine as Macan Turbo?

Is it the same engine - with 20 more HP (420 vs 400)? If so hopefully an ECU upgrade get some more HP out of the Macan??

Yes I think so. If you look at the Torque curve on the Macan Turbo and just straighten
out the little crook at the end you will get 420hp Torque x RPM/5250 = HP.
It would only take a little programming or a little different turbo to make that happen.
The flat torque curves on these engines is just amazing. All under computer control to control boost.

Sort of, but it is 3.0L vs 3.6L for the Turbo. That is the main difference under the hood...
Future ECU upgrades should get more out of each engine. Knowing Porsche, it is very doubtful these engines are tweaked to the max.

My mistake as this is the Macan forum and I was thinking Macan S vs Turbo. Porsche did squeeze another 20HP out of it, but they are pretty conservative (except perhaps with the 500HP RS 4.0 normally aspirated flat 6). My guess is that with some minor mods and ECU tuning, something north of 460HP is easily obtainable from the 3.6L V6 Turbo.
BTW, BMW gets 425 HP out of their 3.0L straight 6 turbo in the new M3 and M4, so you can see how conservative Porsche is, and what the potential might be for these new sixes.
