Opinions on this Macan Turbo Build
Hi All,
Before I list this build, I want you to know that this Macan would be replacing a 2013 White 991 C4 that I really like, but need more practical performance and space that the Macan would deliver on over the next 3-4 years. I would then ADD a Cayman or Boxster or 991 at a later date.
I just don't have the space to keep the 911 and buy a Macan right now...have 3 teens with cars etc.
I have PSE and PTV+ on my C4 and really love the grip and sound.
So with that background, Here is the build: OPINIONS WELCOME

Saw your posts on the other 2 forums, but since you haven't received any comments here, I'll share my perspective. These are all personal choices, and only you know what is important to you. But since you asked for comments, here are mine, for what they're worth:
The Macan isn't nearly as exclusive as a 911, so I'd drop logos in headrests and center console. (I didn't ever see the point, even in a 911).
I'd seriously reconsider 18-way seats, since they don't cost you anything on a Turbo. I had adaptive sport seats in my 997, and absolutely love the 18-ways in my Macan S. To me they add much more richness (and comfort) than logos.
I'd skip the red seatbelts. I'd only consider them with a black interior.
Privacy glass doesn't seem necessary to me. My windows are already very tinted, and the car is very quiet. Noise insulating glass seems to partially negate any benefits from having PSE, since it will be harder to hear.
Speaking of PSE, I had it on my 997 and it was nice to use periodically, but I don't see the point of it on a SUV. The exhaust already sounds good on the Macan, and since it isn't a sports car, I don't think it needs to be louder. My car now has 9500 miles, and the exhaust seems to have become more aggressive from when it was new.
I think I saw that you were considering adding sport chrono. I'm not convinced it is that useful because it is to aggressive in gear changes at high revs. Most reports suggest that it is unlikely to be used in anything but track situations.
Finally, you might consider gloss black window trim, as it matches better with other trim around the windows.
Whether you change anything or not, you will have a kick-axx car! Good luck.

I thought I read that the SC was less aggressive in the Macan than the 991?? It is very aggressive in my 991 and I've only used it once or twice on the street but did order it in my Macan Turbo along with PSE...
Thanks. Good advice. I'm dropping the logos on things, changing to the gloss black trim. Yes I added the SC. Heard it was more "steerable" on the Macan. I'm also dropping the privacy glass...I WANT to hear the PSE as much as possible.
Also I'm dropping the red seat belts.
Also I'm dropping the red seat belts.
Thanks to all for the advice...tweaked my build:

@Dan991C4: Stunning build! Love the garnet/black interior in full leather! I see you kept the crest on headrests. No problem. AND, you added the Burmeister. Apparently a good choice if you want good sound and can afford it. That will be a great car, and you'll have to share photos when you get it!
Yes. I just tested the 18 way and went with those. I have 14 way in my 991. But really like the 18s!
Thanks! Just finalized it. Only change was went with summer tires instead of all seasons. April delivery. Dealer had an allocation that was changeable
I should get mine in a few weeks and will let you know about the PSE. I personally wouldn't order another 911 without it. I LOVE just pressing that 'magic' button and the feeling it gives me.
Hope we both won't miss out 991's too much!
BTW - are you trading your C4S back to the dealer? I'm using the lease pull-ahead promotion but buying the Macan. I understand in order to exit my lease early I need to finance some small amount thru PFS, just not sure how much or for how long.
Nicely equipped Macan - now the waiting begins.

My wife is warming up to idea of my keeping the c4. God I love this woman
. So I have till April to decide. If I trade my plan will be to get a boxster, cayman or 911 in the future. The c4 I have I love but it's not my perfect build 911. It was a lot car that has 80% of what I want but is not an s nor does it have leather.
I haven't decided if I'm trading my c4 back to dealer yet. They have me a number today and wanted my car today I said....whoah! I wanna keep my 991 till my new one comes in and if the number is lower so be it. I just might keep my C4 as I have it almost paid off and to replace it would be way more than they are giving. I have a garage away from home I could keep it.
