squeaking steering wheel

Wife's 15 macan has suddenly developed a squeak in the steering wheel. It isn't the belts out in the engine but comes from the wheel itself when it is being turned. Anyone else experienced this?

Take to dealer? You have a warranty right?

Yeah, it is still under warranty. Just such a PITA. Dealer is 70 miles away and we can only get down there on Saturdays. I work every other Saturday.

finally took it to the dealer and they did a fix but it was only temporary.

Yes, I have the same squeak when one turns the wheel either way.

Not able to locate source without remove steering wheel cowl cover...most annoying!
