Shaking starting around 65mph

Hi folks,

Our Macan S starts shaking noticeably once we go over 65mph. It's not coming through the steering wheel, although not sure how much shaking would transfer through electric steering.

I think the shaking started after we replaced the front tire due to a nail -- the (other) original tires have about 10K on them. You think the difference between the old tires and the new tire could cause the shaking?

Marlon

I think more than likely the center that replaced the tire did not balance properly.

Start there.

I agree - take it back and have that tire balanced correctly. Most of these tire shops have people doing the work that may get it correct 50% of the time. I know from personal experience as I watch them mount and balance and use a torque wrench like a long breaker bar - after it clicks, indicating proper torque, the continue to tighten it another 1/2+ turn.

Did you replace the front tire with the same tire, I'm assuming & if so, it is definitely that the tire were not balanced right. GLW with everything & I hope this helps…
