shaking at 70-mph

ok, the 911 was shaking today on the hwy at 70mph today. wasn't when I picked her up 3 days ago. only thing that has changes is the 30 degree temp difference. ??

the car is sitting on perelli p-zeros. not sure if the cold is whats causing it. I only live 7 miles from the house so tires never realy heat up

if it sat for a few days the tires could have been flat spotted or you might have moisture (water vapor) in a tire...it certainly isn't normal and you should get it checked out if it continues...check the inside walls of all your tires and make sure one hasn't split a sidewall....good luck

the car looked at the driver and saw your eyes are only half open and it shuttered out of fear!

inspect the tires would be the first guess. Maybe get them filled with Nitrogen over at RimTyme in Plano. If that doesn't do the truck start the suspension inspection

Could be an out of round tire, or a weight could have popped off.

Yes, check the tires the side walls. Had the same vibration shake and turned out my left rear tire was splittin......................it sucked because it happened on a Sunday while driving from Stockton, CA to Orange County! Spent a several hours in Los Banos, luckily they had a tire shop open that had something that I could put on to get back home. Good luck!

Dervish is infamous around these parts
Ditto on what Deckman said, weight might have fallen off. Mine had a shake between 70 & 80mph, took it to get rebalanced and now no shake...

Check the air pressure. I find my Rosso's to be VERY sensitive to small air pressure changes. The temp drop will usually lower your cold psi, so see if you need to add a few lbs. Otherwise, get them rebalanced. I doubt you got a flat spot from just sitting for a few days. That usually takes months with modern tires.

I agree--sounds like a wheel balance issue.

That is VERY low. Mine were shaking with only 8-10 lb underinflation. Let me know if that takes care of it. If so, I'm going to see if Pirelli is aware of this issue on our cars and any others.

tire balancing should fix the problem.
