Adjusting coilover springs in a Maserati Quattroporte

I just resently traded my 06 BMW M5 for a 06 Quattroporte with the sport package. I noticed that the car has adjustable coil over springs which I quess is apart of the skyhook system. Can the springs be adjusted to a 1 inch drop? My car is still under warranty so the dealer told me that changing the springs would void the warranty. Any suggestions?

that's an awful lot of drop for a stock suspension and may have serious effects on the handling...you need a good suspension shop that is familiar with those cars and will tell you how much they can safely drop it and do a corner balance and then alignment while they are at it

Thanks for the info. I looked at the stock setup & it looks just like the KW setup. That's why I was asking if a similar adjustment can be made.

I'd imagine changing out the shocks/springs/ coilovers would only void the warranty on those parts, and parts directly effected by that change. I doubt if you had engine/transmission/body/interior problems, that would say that they can't fix it because you have aftermarket springs on the car.
