I got an MGT!
Hi guys, well I got a MGT, passed on from a friend who had to let it go.
not too happy with the sound of the exhaust tho, and the fit poor and the finish is not bad.
Has anyone tried a muffler bypass on the car? will there be any problems? I need more sound!

I never heard about this type of problem on MGT's( i know this problem was more frequent on gallardo's), and yet i never heard about someone makeing a custom exhaust for MGT. GL anyway, and keep us updated on your project.
I'll get some pix before sunday, am now getting the wheels painted and giving the car a much needed aggressive stance...

I've just been running around all day with the muffler bypass, am just completely worn out. It's way too aggressive at idle and I would not want to go through it on a daily basis! GOD its loud!
Do you have a sound clip?
Speedshaq, I've been looking for a camera to shoot it, but can't find any with good quality sound... it is very loud, I am changing it back to stock tomorrow, I just tested it on the long drive, I can't do it, lol its too ferocious for me.
I am going to bypass the secondary cat and see what that does to the sound. I agree its too tame but a full muffler bypass must have been too much for that car. Other option is to cut into the stock mufflers and remove a chamber. I did that on my Quattroporte and it did a pretty good job of livening it up.
check out the systems from Fabspeed (http://www.fabspeed.com/maserati.html)
I had their sport mufflers, center X pipe, and secondary muffler bypass on my 2005 Coupe. Loved the sound and the increase in midrange torque could be immediately felt. They have sound clips on their website but it doesn't do the system justice.

Fabspeed Motorsports developed a replacement catalytic converter system which utilizes 200 CPSI sport catalytic converters with a resonator bypass X-Pipe. This sytem is constructed from T304SS and the catalytic converters are imported from Germany, absolutely no C.E.L. and this system will pass emissions/inspections without voiding the factory warranty. This system works with the factory mufflers or any aftermarket mufflers which fit like OEM. Attached you will see pictures of the system as compared to stock and also a dyno sheet. Here is a video clip of the system installed--> http://www.vimeo.com/1321401
