05 Gran Sport? Do or Dont..

Thinking about picking up a 05 Gran Sport. How dependable is this car. I know little about them...Can they be used as a DD?

Italian and DD don't belong in the same sentence. Ever. The only exception might be the Quattroporte, but I'd be wary of its reliability as well.

absolutely - i used my gransport as a DD (granted, i have a short commute but unless you're driving through potholes and snow...). the quality and reliability of the gransport is leaps ahead of the regular coupe. that said though, i wouldn't own any maserati out of warranty

as long as you're willing to pay the maintenance, drive away.

Great bang for the buck. Basically has the performance of a Ferrari 360 (and the sound too with Tubi's) resale value is terrible. I had one of these two years ago paid $75k resold for $40k. Buy in the $30's.

I was looking at an 05 with 14K miles for low 50K.

My brother in law is in the process of picking up an 05 GS with 13k for $44k.

too much, that should buy you a clean 06 w less miles. 05 w 14k miles regardless how clean should be in the mid 40's, depending on colors, options, etc... good luck.

i've had a few 360's and actually think the GS sounds better than the 360, even w the tubi.

I would recommend buying an 06 GS. I have heard they worked out some "issues" after the first production year. Also likely to have some warranty left as well.
Definitely can be a D.D. though.

An 05 w/14k should be able to buy for lower $40's for sure.

I've seen 2004's selling in the $30k range. If you can pick up a 2006 for $40k I would say go for it. Lot of bang for the buck

An 04 would not constitute as being a GranSport though. Only made here in the states as 05 and 06 models.
And picking up an 06 for 40k is highly unlikely...... unless it had 40k+ in miles.

Now an 06 with under 10k that can be had for even 50k would be a good deal.

Believe me, I have been watching these CLOSELY for 3 months now.

Value of this cars drops fast..... than again, car is a toy not an investment unless they are rare models.
