2006 Maserati QP Good Deal?

A friend offered me a well equipped 2006 Quattoporte Sport GT loaded with 3,000 miles for $50k. Deal or no deal?

If you know your friend took care of the car, then I agree...good deal.

My only concern is the warranty... It ends November 2009.

Ya, I hear ya.

Extended warranty from Maserati dealer is about $2500 for 2 extra years I think. The car goes through an inspection process, so tires must be good as well as other maintained items.

Anyone else have any more info about the extended options? Dealer told me Maserati just recently started offering plans.

This sounds like a lot, but is pretty reasonable compared to Aston Martin which is $5000-$6000k for 2 extra years.

Maybe your friend could split the cost to help out??

If you can, go for a 2008 QP since it has a much improved transmission.

The DuoSelect trans is good if you are going to shift it manually, otherwise the Auto mode will cause excessive clutch wear. If you prefer a regular automatic, go with a '07+ that has a ZF Automatica transmission.

I was thinking 45-47k on this one. The market is very SOFT on all exotics esp sedans. I sold my 06 Gransport with every option and Bianco Fuji color for 56k back in Feb and the car had 2,500 miles.
