2007 sl600 question

Lastnight there was a guy calling out people in an sl600. He ended up beating an m6 and getting beat by really bad by a c6 zo6. Anyway, with that being said, after he beat the m6, he got out of his car and showed a dyno sheet putting down 502whp. I dont know if mercedes quotes the whp numbers as their flywheel numbers on this car or what... If someone could enlighten me, that would be great.

He says its stock, but I dont really believe him. Maybe he has the renntech ecu upgrade?

he was calling people out because he more than likely had an ECU upgrade hence the dyno of 502RWHP, most ECU upgrades net high 490's to mid 520's at the wheels
The M6 was probably no problem until he ran into a C6 Z06, it will take about 570RWHP+ in that platform to take a Z06

With Evotech/Renntech ECU those numbers sound about right. Not stock.

With that kind of power shouldn´t the Benz give a hard time to the Z06? I mean if he has almost 600Hp at the crank it should be enought to give the C6 a good match.

the ZO6 has such a huge weight advantage that it takes a bit more HP to get past it. On this SL platform you would need 570+RWHP to beat a stock Z06

600 engines are insane... I had the chance to go on a top speed run on a open road in Seoul, Korea and it felt like an airplane taking off to me LOL

Almost 600 crank hp + almost 5000lbs
vs
almost 500 crank hp + almost 3200lbs.

Get it? Do the math
