2008 S63 Oil Level

Does anyone have a 2008 S63? My electronic oil level check is not working and I think it may be a software issue. Got a warning light for low oil after 2500 miles and dipstick confirmed the finding. Oil level monitor from the "Service" menu on the dash will not perform level check.

Anyone with same issue?

Have an S63 with 4000 warning light free miles. The only thing we had is a slight ticking noise that has yet to be discovered.

S63 does not have electronic oil check. My S63 has 8000 miles and I have added oil twice, approx 1 quart each time.

This new electronic oil reading thing that cars are resorting to is funny - was it too hard to put a dip stick in as well... geez

i remember reading in car and driver i believe about the new BMW's that have no gizmo like this oil level reader nor a dipstick - car and driver was not a fan and investigated - BMW themselves stated that if you wanted the oil to be read you can take it to your dealer, the will lift your car on a lift, empty your oil, measure it, make sure its good or add some if needed, pour it back into your car and bring your car down from the lift and off you go

with a dipstick, it would probably take a lot longer than that
