Anyone been modding the CLK black series yet???
Your right the brakes are on the car, and they do fit. However, when speaking with Dale I asked him if they would fit behind my 19” Maya Stm’s that aren’t custom, it’s the standard M3 offset that Maya offers for the M3 and can be found on their website and from any authorized Maya distributor. In addition I gave Dave the offset and all the other wheel measurements along with that. Dale and I then talked it over and Dave said I would need either a 10mm space or a 15mm space. It turned out that I would need at least a 20mm spacer, which would have had my wheel sticking out past the top of my fender. That’s why I asked Dave if they didn’t fit, and this was when we were talking about offset, did he say Evosport would allow me to return them, without any mention of a re-stocking fee. And yes your right, after talking to you, you said I could return them but after paying a restocking fee of 20% (over $800 dollars), but never did you tell me it would be possibly 5% or 10% I accepted your apologize but when I hung up the phone with you I told you to make sure that if something like this was to ever occur with another customer that you should make every detail clear to them especially when purchasing something for over $4,000. But thank you once again for addressing the issue.
We tend to stick to the interior. I like the owner to see his parts rather than have them on the outside for others. Interesting that they won't sell the grill on its own. I hear Gemballa is the same way with their CGT stuff. That must mean the money is in the engine tuning!
Also, if you do not have a desire to do the grill, I am sure that I can have it done by Vorsteiner (our partner and site sponsor) if we have enough demand.
As for the project car we were using for the first development round, it is 99% done. Again, the front and rear are made for us by Vorsteiner. Teaser shots:
