SL65

car is nice, but with MSRP of 179,500... NOT including Distronic, Panoroof, Tire-Pressure and Keyless Go! way over priced...

TT owners watch out for this monster though

check it out!

As much as I desire/love the Porsche Turbo/GT2 if somebody was standing in front of me with the keys to each and said choose I don't think I could resist the MB...I wish a 6 or 7 speed manual was an option. AAH its so amazing.

wow.....you guys are soooo biased!!! open your eyes for a moment and give props to a car that has an incredible amount of power and torque and would make anybody's dream every day car. that is one hell of a nice car for the price! luxury AND performance.....okay, a gt2 could work it on the track, but that is clearly not the point of this car. i hate hearing people who are not open to new ideas! you will never move ahead being closed minded!
add the cl65 to my dream car list!

my bro was thinking about getting that one...
but it's damn way over priced for a SL...well... a mercedes @___@
i'd get a lambo gallardo for that price...sounds better and looks better...haha...or 360 ^__^

now we have decided to go for sl55 and add a kleemann kit on it... 620hp ^___^ still the same amount of power isn't it...haha
but 50G cheaper

my friends a 996TT with 500 hp 520 tq does the same or less.

The SL (55/600/65) are a short list of cars I am looking at to replace my recently sold M5. I have heard alot of complaints about Mercedes quality and time in the shop recently ... if I was more sure about the reliability I might jump.

nomercy - my S55 has treated me well since i bought it about 8 months ago. it was in once to have come computer piece replaced, but otherwise it's been rock solid.

the AMG 65 cars are very intriguing, but do not overestimate the transmissions. it is the only thing i patently dislike about my S55. the tranny is borderline annoying.

doody.

I doubt it accelerates much faster than a 600 to 60mph, with that kind of power traction is the limiting factor.

And they say its hard to keep from spining the tires with a viper's torque...with 700+ lbs the TC must be working overdrive

My Dad had one on order through a contact at MBUSA, but we cancelled it due to this other divine auto mobile that we like more: 996 tt.
