G500 has had the same shape for more like 16 years.

Before the Benz dealers started selling the G-wagon a few years ago it was imported and sold, in very limited numbers, by a small firm in Santa Fe NM. If memory serves the NM company began G-wagon distribution in the early '90s.

Actually its been the same shape since the 70s I believe. Quite a timeless design IMO..

ML63.

The G500 looks great and is a classic but it's far too slow compared to the ML

Thanks for the feedback. I am leaning towards the ML. I am doing a little dealer drive by on Sat to get some final impressions. The GL is nice looking, but I think if I went that way it would be too practical and probably diesel. It would last a month or two...

I love the ML performance, my only concern is the *** beating the AMG stuff takes on resale... that's why the G sits out there...

Again, thanks. This forum is great.

have driven both, although i love the look of G-Class, TOUGH, but it really doesn't drive like a car but a old truck. for daily, go with ML63.
