Congrats on the purchase!

The W211 E55 has always been a favorite of mine.

I know...two of the best deals on the market now though, IMHO. Two different leagues of course, but both put a smile on your face.

There's so much traffic around here too, and I never even go to the track.

How are you liking the E63 after a few months now?

My exact thoughts...before the Z, I had a heavily modded s2k for 5 years so similar car history. Does your E have a warranty?

Great car, I have the same year, model and color! My .02 do not, and I mean do NOT own this car without the warranty. Also if you plan to mod approach your dealer to make sure they are "mod friendly" or you will find the ownership to be very costly. I've had front suspension failure, an air sensor failure which was followed by a cracked or broken hose under the blower (after the car was in the shop for a week for the sensor replacement). The stock Conti's are crap and should replaced as quickly as possible. I've had 3 flats in less than a year and half due to screws etc. And in most cars a flat repair is a cinch, but by the time you can get this car to the side of the road the tire is toast and will need to be replaced. Not an issue with road hazard warranty, just an inconvenience.

All of that said the service from my MB dealer is pretty first rate. The offer a loaner when the car is in for service and it's usually an ML. The roadside is very prompt (less than 20 minutes each time) and they even admit when they make a mistake. The last guy to change the tire broke the center cap and replaced it with a factory new piece.

Enjoy the car it is a great deal of fun, for a sedan!

Congratulations on the new car, enjoy it in good health. The E55 has been a favourite of mine for many years, for starters get the E63 Trunk spoiler, Euroteck motorsports carbon fiber front lip extension and a flat hood badge.
