E55 with new HRE wheels

I just picked up 19" 847R. They are painted MBZ techtite gray. My second set of HRE on this car. What can I say other than these wheels are bad ***. Theres truly nothing like a nice HRE wheel to compliment any car. Auktane was kind enough to take some pictures of it and I wanted to share them with you all

Enjoy

Once you remove the goofy decals (I'm sure its for promo shoot only), your car will look perfect!

Love the wheels and mods to the car, but I really think a 20" 3-piece wheel is what a car the size of an E55/E63 needs.

Great style nonetheless.

Who did your front grille? Most people I've known to do this have major problems with chipping, and the only solution seems to be to cover the front grille in a Lamin-X type material to protect it from rocks/etc. If you have another alternative I'd love to hear it!

Thanks,
Brad

I got the grill and everything else done at HMS in Westminster, Ca. I dont like 20s on an E55. Maybe on a 350 or 500, but not a 55. This car is a stage 5 and it makes over 500 to the wheels, so 20s would just defeat the purpose of the car

So what's the purpose of the car? Obviously not to drag race or you would have a separate set of wheels on it for that purpose alone. Not quite sure how having 500rwhp makes any difference in regards to wheel size/selection in a luxury sedan that appears to be primarily street driven?

Look at TechArt Porsche's.. 20's. Novitec Ferrari's.. 20's.. Brabus Rocket has 19's but it also has ~720+bhp and is geared for top speed runs and needs the extra stability. Hamann's M5 has 21's!

I understand where you're coming from--having more sidewall. But there are a number of E55's on mbworld.org with 500-600rwhp+ rolling on 20" HRE's. Even with 19's traction from a WOT standstill is incredibly difficult, and these cars are much easier to manage from a rolling start.

At any rate, your car is definitely gorgeous and your modifications are very tasteful. I love the black grille and emblems, and the wheels look outstanding. Nice touch with the Vorsteiner diffuser also! I recall seeing a E55 very similar to yours on mbworld.org and he had the chrome trim around the vehicle painted black and it looked great. Thanks for letting me know about HMS--I have a friend locally with an 06 E55 and he will contact them about the grille and emblems.

Take care!
Brad
