I am looking for a CLK BS and am wondering what are the mods to do to make power and driving fun?

ET550 is infamous around these parts
I recommend driving the car first before worrying about whether you will need/want any mods. The car already has power and is fun to drive.

Kleemann and RENNTech

Both Kleemann and RENNTech have ECU upgrades that can add about 25HP.
Kleemann has some headers that will also add about 25HP.
RENNTech has a brake cooling kit that works very well.

Brakes at the track overhead very quickly, the cooling kit is a great add on for track use.

Really? I haven't had any problems at the track with mine and there are plenty of other guys who track their Blacks much more than I do.

Are you speaking generally about brakes at the track?
Or did you have Black Series track problem?

In General, but also, I have a customer that took his Black to Summit Point last summer and complained about brake fade after few session (30 mins sessions), and we ended up using some brake pads from RENNTech and a cooling kit. That seem to have fixed the problem...
Are you using stock pads?

Yes, I'm using stock and so are the other owners that I can reference.
Matter of fact there are a handful of guys at the track today and each of them have hundreds of track miles on the stock pads.
One guy switched to Porterfields and then came back to the stock pads.
