C63 memory card ??????

Hello friends,

I wanted to know where i could buy the media card that goes inside the opening just under the cd changer. Can i store MP3's on the card and play them, where can i buy them and what are they called, i also noticed that it's quite large (the opening of the slot) compared to most media cards i have seen?

Thanks - i got tired of trying to google it and not get anywhere hope this works.

SD card slot

It takes an SD card, under 2 GB and not the SD-HD type.
You can use the SD card to transfer up to 4 GB of MP3's to the unit and keep another two on the card = 6 GB total.

The card format, size-wise at least, looks more like a PCMCIA card than an SD card. They may make SD cards in that physical format now or use an adapter, I suppose? You can also put MP3s on a DVD and play them through the system in the single slot player (I think the changer only accepts CDs).

SD cards are sold at Camera stores.

Actually it does not look like a PCMCIA slot since its 1/3 the size ? I have a 2009 Mercedes and the instructions are in the owners manual. 2 GB limit and HD format is not supported.

My mistake then. I assumed (yeah, yeah, I know the saying...) that maybe the memory slot was the same for a C63 as it is for my S63, expecting some sort of commonality or continuity in the types of equipment used by Mercedes in their cars. The one in my S63 is definitely a PCMCIA card, aka "PC Card" nowadays, as detailed in page 121 of my owner's manual.

Kuwait997, check to see what the specs on the card requirements are, then Google that type of memory card. You will find a ton of places that sell those.
