Without a doubt, doc, I enjoyed the C63 very much. For the street, this car was perfect. It has a nice, big motor with tire roasting torque. I just couldn't get over the interior, but everything else was top notch.

SpoolnV8 is infamous around these parts
Here I go bumping an old thread, but Gotta question. How much differs between the C63 and E63? Obvious weight differance... Actually how much? What about performance and Mods?

My opinion for best bang for the Buck Luxury Performance car is the E60 m5.. Started at 100k.. they are down to 40k now.. They are a much more advanced car than a 6.3L v8 Merc.. A 5.0L V10 w/ 8400rpm is much sweeter.. The M5 handles great for a big car, is as fast as almost anything on the highway, and isnt cheap on the inside.. End of the day c63 is a C class and its small.. The interior on the C63 is Cheesy..

at the cost of a E55 its a very good deal but as for NEW? yea the C63 is a great car. I agree its pretty steep for a C class but once you floor it it makes all the sense in the world. If i were put in the option of a C63 or E500 pretty loaded (around the same price) i would go C. It has all the features u need in a modern sedan. and i like it being smaller. Mind you this is coming from a AMG E class owner. the C63 is one of the most exciting sedans i have driven. the M5 is sharper, the E55/E63 has more grunt sure but as a overall fun package C is a great car. Also now that you can pick one up used for around 48-55 its a no brainer. Merry Christmas!

The 63 motor in the E class due to the chassis and size makes it feel slower. with larger cars (E and 5 series etc) I feel as though you need more torque than hp (hence why i have the 5.5L) with smaller cars hp is king, as for performance and mods, they are very similar, different exhaust system and intakes so the mods will differ in that sense as well. Performance the C63 3.9 0-60 12.3 1/4 mile wile the E63 is 4.3 and 12.6 respectfully. Mind you the C class is more focused on the sports part of sports sedan and the E is more of a sledgehammer cruiser. Think of it this way E class if you go across country/have kids C class if your 25-35 and dont drive far but want a $hit eating grin every time u get in a car. The C is ALWAYS insane the E has a mellow side to it.
